Why we're starting free
Continuum is in private beta and shaped by the people using it. Charging during a period when we're still calibrating the matching algorithm, validating the curriculum, and recruiting the founding cohort would be premature — and would change the kinds of users who join in ways we don't yet want.
Founding members lock in preferred rates
When paid tiers eventually launch, founding-cohort members keep preferred rates for the life of the account — including, where the model supports it, free forever. The specific rate model is being designed with input from the cohort, not handed down.
Trainees pay the least
Career-defining mentorship shouldn't be gated by stipend size. When paid tiers launch, verified trainees get the lowest rate, and founding-cohort trainees lock in their beta-era rate (currently $0) for the duration of their training. Once a trainee finishes training and transitions to a practicing role, they move to the practicing tier — but their founding-cohort discount carries forward.
Honest about what's built
If something is on the roadmap but not yet shipped (CME credits, SSO, certain integrations), we say "planned." We don't bill for vapor, and we won't introduce paid tiers until the platform is actually delivering value commensurate with the price.

Is there really no charge today?
Yes. Continuum is in private beta and free for every user. No credit card on file, no trial expiration, no per-feature paywall. When paid tiers eventually launch, we'll publish at least 60 days advance notice and founding members will lock in preferred rates.
When will paid tiers launch?
No fixed date. We'll move from private beta to paid tiers when the platform is consistently delivering measurable value to its users — and when the model for what we charge for, who pays, and what stays free has been designed with founding-cohort input. We'd rather launch the right pricing model than the soonest one.
What does "founding member" mean for pricing?
Founding members are early users — both mentees and mentors — who join during the private beta and help shape the platform. When paid tiers launch, founding members get preferred rates for the life of their account. The exact mechanism (free forever for certain roles, locked beta-era rate for others, etc.) is being finalized with the cohort.
What about institutional pricing?
Institutional pilots during private beta are also free. We work with each program (residency, fellowship, nursing leadership, society) to define what success looks like for that institution. Do you offer a BAA?
Continuum is built so PHI doesn't enter the platform in standard use, so most institutional pilots don't need a BAA. For those that do, BAA execution and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure enablement are part of the institutional onboarding process. We acknowledge BAA inquiries within five business days with a current-status update. See BAA Request.
Will you ever sell my data?
No. Continuum's revenue model — when there is one — will be subscription-based, not data-resale. We use aggregate, de-identified platform data to improve matching (e.g., "which specialty pairings tend to produce sustained mentorships"). Individual data is never sold or shared with third-party marketers. See Privacy Policy.
What happens to my account when paid tiers launch?
You'll get at least 60 days advance notice with a clear explanation of any changes affecting your account. Founding members lock in preferred rates. If at that point the platform isn't worth what we're asking, you cancel — no penalty, no data lock-in, your profile is yours to take with you. We'd rather lose a user transparently than lose trust through a surprise bill.
