Is Continuum only for physicians?
No — and that's the point. Continuum was built for every healthcare professional: physicians, nurses, PTs, OTs, pharmacists, PAs, NPs, CRNAs, respiratory therapists, dietitians, social workers, and health system leaders. All career stages, all disciplines, all settings.
How are mentors vetted?
Every mentor undergoes credential verification (license, specialty, institution), completes our structured Mentor Training Curriculum, and receives a rating after each session. We also track session completion rates and mentee outcomes — mentors who underperform are removed from matching.
Is CME/CE credit available?
Not yet — but it's a priority on our roadmap. Continuum is not currently accredited to issue CME (ACCME) or CE credit. We are actively pursuing partnerships with accredited providers so that mentorship sessions, development milestones, and peer learning can count toward CME, CE, and MOC requirements in a documented, auditable way. Until then, we track your learning activity and generate session summaries you can use as part of your own portfolio. We'll announce accreditation milestones as they land.
What does the AI actually do?
Three things: (1) Mentor matching — analyzes your profile, career stage, goals, and specialty to surface the highest-relevance matches. (2) Session Intelligence — suggests agenda items, captures key insights, and surfaces action items after each session. (3) AI Coach — an asynchronous coaching interface available between sessions for quick guidance, resource recommendations, and progress check-ins.
Can I be both a mentor and a mentee?
Absolutely — and many of our most engaged users are. A senior resident might mentor a medical student while being mentored themselves by an attending. The platform manages both relationships simultaneously, with separate dashboards, journeys, and metrics for each role.
How much time does mentorship take?
Most mentorship pairs meet 30–60 minutes per month — less time than a single journal club session. Our scheduling tools account for clinical schedules, on-call rotations, and time zone differences. Session Intelligence makes each session productive immediately, so there's no warmup time wasted.
How is this different from finding a mentor on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn gives you access; Continuum gives you structure. Cold outreach has a low response rate, no vetting, no agenda framework, no progress tracking, and no accountability on either side. Continuum pairs verified mentors with mentees based on fit, provides session structure, tracks progress toward defined goals, and — once accreditation partnerships land — will document sessions toward CME and CE requirements. None of which LinkedIn does.
Is my data private and HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. Continuum is designed to be HIPAA-aware: we do not collect or store PHI — the Platform covers career development, not patient care, and users agree not to post patient-identifying information. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and we run on infrastructure (Supabase, Netlify) that maintains SOC 2 Type II certification. For institutional deployments that may involve PHI, a Business Associate Agreement is available on request — see /baa for current status.
What if I can't find a mentor in my specific niche?
Our matching algorithm handles adjacent-specialty mentorship — a hand surgeon mentoring a plastic surgery fellow, or a pediatric NP mentoring a family NP new grad. We also actively recruit mentors in underrepresented niches. If your specialty isn't covered, tell us — we've built our mentor network around user requests.
When can I get started?
Continuum is currently in early access and operating as a free research initiative during private beta. Join the waitlist to be among the first to get access — early waitlist members receive priority mentor matching, founding-cohort recognition (preferred rates locked in when paid tiers eventually launch), and direct input into the product roadmap. We're onboarding in cohorts by discipline.
